The cottages are situated on the owner s 200 acre working dairy farm. The sandy beaches and surfing waves at Westward Ho! Woolacombe and Saunton are all within easy reach by car. You can hire bicycles and cycle traffic free on the disused railway track the Tarka Trail and stop for a drink or bite to eat at one of the many watering holes on route. The property is 3 miles from the Atlantic Highway giving access to popular attractions including The Big Sheep The Milky Way and Dartington Crystal. The popular market towns of Bideford and Torrington with their famous pannier markets are also close by offering good pubs shops and restaurants. The villages of Monkleigh Buckland Brewer and Littleham are a short drive away and all offer good village pubs. Farm activities: by arrangement guests are welcome to enjoy and play on the farm after a guided tour by the farmer and even help feed the calves and watch the cows being milked. Amenities: ample off-road parking available. Bed linen towels electric and central heating included (the farm has installed a solar water heating system). Wi-Fi included although due to the location the Wi-Fi can be limited at times. Regret no smoking. Pets welcome by arrangement and must be kept downstairs. Cot travel cot and highchair available. Location: beach at Westward Ho! 6 miles beaches at Peppercombe and Greencliff under 5 miles shops 4 miles pub 1 mile Tarka Trail cycling/walking 1 mile. A renovated semi-detached cottage offering TWO bedrooms: 1 king-size with TV en-suite shower and WC and 1 further zip-and-link twin which can be a double on request both with far-reaching countryside views. Bathroom: opposite twin room with shower over bath and WC. Additional downstairs WC. The ground floor is full of character with exposed woodwork and underfloor heating. Lounge/diner: spacious with woodburner (first basket of logs included) TV Freeview DVD and hi-fi. Kitchen: provides electric oven and hob fridge freezer dishwasher washing machine and microwave. Outside: lounge/diner opens up onto a south west facing private enclosed patio with garden furniture BBQ and wonderful views of the valley.

The small port of Bideford in north Devon, England, is located on the River Torridge opposite East-of-the-Water. A perfect location for staying at if you wish to explore the north Devon coast, Bideford is not far from Northam, Abbotsham, Westward Ho!, Appledore, and Monkleigh. The nearest main cities are Plymouth (population 243,795), Exeter (population 106,772), and Truro (which has a population of 20,920 according to the 2001 Census).
By the 16th century Bideford had become the third largest port in England, although its importance is far less these day. It is famed for the 'Long Bridge' which crosses the river and which dates right back to the 15th century.
Bideford is easily accessibly by road, being located on the A39 coastal road, and offers much for the holidaymaker wishing to explore this part of Devon.
